Dr. Lauren Edwards is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in the Virginia-Highlands area of Atlanta. She received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her PhD in Psychology from the University of Tennessee; she completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University, where she is an adjunct professor in the School of Medicine.
Dr. Edwards primarily works with adolescents and adults in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. She also enjoys working with college and University students. She offers DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills training both individually and in group settings through Daily DBT. DBT training focuses on mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Dr. Edwards serves on the Board of Advisors for the metro Atlanta chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
