Julia Spinolo is a graduate student therapist currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Georgia State University. As an Atlanta native with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in nursing, Julia brings a deep understanding of the local community and a significant healthcare background. Julia's 30+ years of healthcare experience, including practicing as a provider and educator during the COVID-19 pandemic, fueled her desire to make a positive impact on the mental health of others.
Julia’s interests are trauma recovery, PTSD, C-PTSD, life transitions, burnout, grief, anxiety, depression, patients and family members affected by cancer, and adults with a history of Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN). She strives to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel secure, understood, and accepted. Julia encourages individuals to explore their authentic selves on their path of healing and personal growth. She is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care to clients from all backgrounds.Julia combines a client-centered approach with holistic modalities to promote the well-being of one's mind, body, and spirit. She looks forward to walking with clients on their healing journey and serving as a dedicated advocate for their well-being.
Julia is an EMDRIA trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, working toward certification per EMDRIA standards.
Julia is practicing under the supervision of Gretchen Rees, LCSW, and Carol B. Pitts, PhD, LPC, LMFT, CPCS.
