Sarah Balsley, MS, LPC; Therapist

With an undergraduate degree from Davidson College and a master’s in Clinical Mental Heath Counseling from Georgia State University, Sarah joined our team in May of 2019. She completed her internship with SCCA and the First Presbyterian Preschool.

I believe therapy is a process that can have a meaningful and powerful impact on one’s life. At the core of this process is a strong therapeutic relationship built on respect and trust. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment working with my clients towards growth and resolution.

As a former schoolteacher and child life specialist, I am passionate about working with children, teens and young adults. Using an integrative approach rooted in play therapy and expressive arts, I support clients who are facing life transitions, depression and anxiety, trauma, grief and loss.

Sarah is currently working under the supervision and direction of Dr. JoAnna White, EdD., LPC., CPCS, RPT and Kimere Corthell, Ph.D, LPC, NCC.

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.” -Anne Lamott
