Following her lecture, we will have three break-out dinner groups: one for parents and grandparents of youth facilitated by Dr Lauren Edwards, one for youth, and one break-out group for all facilitated by Dr Beth-Sarah Wright.

We also will offer a 2 week Sunday small group book discussion, 3/3 and 3/10, on her book, ‘What me? Depressed?’ led by Kate Monk and Katie Sundermeier

EQUIPPING CAREGIVERS: Ways to support a loved one struggling with mental illness

NAVIGATING DEPRESSION

An honest perspective from Rebecca Dickey and her faithful caregiver, Molly Sipp

  • APRIL 16, 2023
  • First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta
  • DINNER: 5:30 p.m.
  • ($20/Registration required)
  • LECTURE: 6:30 p.m.

Please join us for an evening of learning as we consider ways to support loved ones struggling with mental illness. As we hear from our keynote speakers, we will be encouraged to nurture our own mental health as well. Youth (6th grade through college) and adults will gather separately for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Then we’ll come together for our keynote speakers at 6:30 p.m. in Fifield Hall.

Dr. Lauren Edwards, Clinical Psychologist, will then offer clinical insight and lead us into a time for questions.

Throughout the week there will be opportunities to connect in small groups co-led by a therapist with SCCA and a pastor with FPC.

Call Samaritan Counseling Center at (404) 228-7777 with questions.
