Mary Beth Lyles, MA, LPC, NCC, Therapist

Mary Beth Lyles LPC, NCC is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and South Carolina. She holds a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and completed her clinical training at Emory Wesley Woods. She holds additional degrees from Brown University, Emory School of Law, and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.    

Mary Beth enjoys forming a partnership with her clients to move forward by discovering their own strengths, wisdom, and solutions while using research-based techniques and strategies. The therapeutic process is shaped with the client’s individual needs, situation, and personal comfort in mind. Mary Beth draws primarily from person-centered, relational-cultural, existential, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives.  She has a deep interest in creativity and the challenges of working in creative professions. Other areas of interest include: anxiety/depression, stress/professional burnout, academic stress and burnout, life-stage changes, senior adults, motherhood and maternal mental health, relationships, family dynamics, perfectionism and life satisfaction.
