Gretchen Rees, LCSW; Clinical Director & Therapist

Gretchen holds a firm belief in the inherent worth and resilience of every human being and brings warmth, compassion, and humor into the therapy space. For the past 14 years, she has worked as a clinical social worker in community mental health settings, most recently with the Counseling and Mental Health Center at the University of Texas. 

She uses a collaborative and culturally affirming approach in her therapy work with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Her primary specialty is in trauma and attachment, including specialized training in EMDR. She also has extensive experience working with anxiety, Military and Veteran challenges, grief, perfectionism, burnout, and major life transitions. 

In addition, she is passionate about clinical supervision and supporting new therapists on their journey to clinical licensure. In her role as Clinical Director, she supports the clinical team through consultation and clinical supervision.

Education & Training:

· MSW in Social Work with a Concentration in Marriage & Family Therapy (University of Georgia)· 

· Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia and Texas.

· Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-S) in Texas· EMDR Level I Trained

· Theraplay Foundational Practitioner· Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Level 1 Trained
