Margaret Ann is currently in her final year of Mercer’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters program and working under the clinical supervision and licensure of Gretchen Rees, LCSW. Margaret Ann comes our Center with experience as counseling intern at Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods, where she provided group therapy, workshops, and intake assessments. Prior to joining our team, Margaret Ann facilitated DBT groups and workshops during her time working with Peach Tree DBT.
Margaret Ann is drawn to working with teenagers and adults with anxiety, relationship concerns, stress, life transitions, and more. She especially enjoys providing counseling to women and girls, however, is open and accepting of all genders and identities. Margaret Ann emphasizes non-judgment and empathy as a counselor and will meet you wherever you are on your journey. She wants to help you find meaning and purpose in your life and create achievable goals that are aligned with your values and vision for yourself. She incorporates Narrative Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory in her work with clients.
